Jessica Nixon is an up and coming country singer/songwriter who began singing at the tender age of 4 in her small town Baptist church. Throughout Jessica's childhood, she faced much adversity, but used music to help her deal with the reality around her. She began songwriting at age 14 and realized that she had a passion for this as well. Putting music on the back burner, so to speak for a while, Jessica lived as any normal teenager would, playing sports and trying to fit in. It wasn't until she was dared to do a local beauty pageant as a pre-pharmacy student that she discovered why God had given her such an amazing gift.
Jessica won the very first pageant she ever entered and used the title to serve her community, which also led her to meet the team she currently has around her. Through such an unexpected experience, the talented young songstress realized that she wanted to be a performer, not only because she loved music, but because she could use this music to make a sincere difference. Over the past few years, Jessica has accomplished so much in her music career, while completing her final years of college to become a Doctor of Pharmacy!
She has opened for Linda Davis, Ty Herndon, Ricochet, Dustin Lynch, Jamie O'Neal, Shenandoah and Bradley Gaskin. In December 2012, Jessica recorded a new project at the Sound Stage Studio in Nashville. She was fortunate enough to have Linda Davis produce this project and work with some of Nashville's finest musicians. Jessica recorded her song "Drive", along with other amazing songs by some incredible songwriters, including Lady Antebellum's, Hillary Scott.
The past nine months, Jessica's has been working hard on her next project and enhancing her writing skills with some of the best songwriters in Nashville; Cliff Downs, Lance Carpenter, Forest Whitehead, Scott Van Zen, Kimberly Paige, and Rick Ferrell. This project is planned for release in the Fall..
